Gun's Don't Kill People Murder-Suicide Kill People, Brothers were cooking before murder-suicide

The 911 call came from 16-year-old Trevor Pimentel.

Pasco County Sheriff's Sgt. Dustin Roy was the first to arrive at the Hudson mobile home.

When Roy heard screaming inside, investigators say he made a split second decision to charge inside.

Roy entered the horrific aftermath of an argument. According to deputies, Pimentel was wounded by his younger brother, Kevin Pimentel, 12, who’d just fatally shot their sibling Brady Pimentel, 6, and committed suicide.

"The mother is going through an absolute living hell right now," Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said.

Helen Campochiaro was a mother of four.

"She did everything for them – that's all she did was work and provide for them. They were her life," said Victim's Advocate Gina Dean.

Her 16-year-old is so shaken up he can't safely communicate what happened.

"When our detectives were talking to Trevor, his heart rate actually would go to 185 and anybody that knows, medically, that is extremely dangerous. He's grieving right now," Nocco said.

Deputies say older brothers Kevin and Trevor were cooking about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

They also say Kevin got his hands on a gun, shot and killed his little brother, 6-year-old Brady, and then shot Trevor in the leg.

Then deputies say he turned the gun on himself before the sergeant charged in to help.

"He hears, it turns out, it was actually Trevor, 16-year-old Trevor, inside screaming, 'I've been shot. I've been shot,'" Nocco said.

The boys were stair steps at local schools – Hudson Elementary, Middle and High School.

Their mom, a single mother, worked two jobs to keep the family afloat.

"We still need to find out what you know, if there was an argument, what led to this to go on?" Nocco said.

Who owns the gun? How did 12-year-old Kevin get a hold of it? Why did he turn it on his own brothers?

These questions are still unanswered.

"We haven't been able to talk about that with the family. The grief is too overwhelming for them. We try to ask questions, they're breaking down," Nocco said.

Law enforcement said  they've never been called to the mobile home in the past and Child Protective Services had no cases on the family.
