the entire transgender movement is a social construct. The claim that these gender categories exist is akin to fantasy literature. The creatures in the alternate fictional worlds created by C.S. Lewis, J.R.R Tolkien, and J. K. Rowling do not exist regardless of how some people may want them to exist. Men and women dressing up as one of their favorite comic book characters do not make them that fictional character.
The attraction of fantasy literature — and fiction in general — is to escape the mundaneness of reality.
People who have a grip on an objective standard of truth can distinguish between fantasy and fiction and the real world. They don’t need a permanent escape from reality.
Liberals love to claim that they are the keepers of science and reason. When we come to the “transgender” debate, science and reason are discarded.
Dr. Paul McHugh, University Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Medical School, describes how gender dysphoria1 that leads some people to find solace in gender reassignment does not have science behind it:
“The idea that one’s sex is fluid and a matter open to choice runs unquestioned through our culture and is reflected everywhere in the media, the theater, the classroom, and in many medical clinics. It has taken on cult-like features: its own special lingo, internet chat rooms providing slick answers to new recruits, and clubs for easy access to dresses and styles supporting the sex change. It is doing much damage to families, adolescents, and children and should be confronted as an opinion without biological foundation wherever it emerges.”No matter how many times two men engage in sex with one another, they are not going to get pregnant. If you believe in science and reason, this is a fact. It has been demonstrated over and over again for many millennia. In the same way, because a man identifies as a woman does not mean that he is a woman, and no one should be forced to accept the notion that he is a woman. There is no rational, biological, or scientific reason to accommodate the delusion, especially by the force of law and economic blackmail.
If you were born with a penis, use the restroom for people who have a penis. If you weren’t born with a penis, then use the restroom meant for people who weren’t born with a penis. What you think you are or want to be is irrelevant. furthermore, stop deluding yourself, and in the case of people like Chastity Bono, stop mutilating yourself.
