Wow, beautiful rainbow over at the Lake Eola vigil. @MyNews13
The rainbow has been a symbol of hope going back well over 10,000 years to the biblical story of Noah. FromGenesis 6:5, “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.”
God commanded Noah to build the ark, filled it with animal and insect life, and then sent the rains to flood the earth. Only Noah’s family survived, according to the biblical account. After the great flood receded, God gave Noah and his family the rainbow as a symbol and a promise that he would never again flood the earth.
God declared the rainbow had a purpose, according to Genesis 9:12-16:http://www.westernjournalism.com/thousands-at-orlando-vigil-look-up-and-then-break-into-cheers/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=PostUp&utm_campaign=WJDailyEmail&utm_content=2016-06-20
