LBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (NEWSPLEX) -- The Albemarle County Police Department has arrested a man for hiding a camera in another person's house and filming the residents in the bathroom.
Forty-five-year-old Thomas Andrew Eagleson of Charlottesville was arrested Monday.
He is facing two counts of unlawful filming of a juvenile, a felony, and three counts of unlawful filming of adults, a misdemeanor. He has also been charged with two counts of breaking and entering.
Police say they were called by a person who lives near Eagleson on March 29 about a camera found inside their master bathroom.
According to a release, the camera contained footage of members of the family using the bathroom and showering.
Police say Eagleson had been taking care of the resident's pet on March 25 and 26, and that is when the camera was installed.
Eagleson appeared in Albemarle County General District Court on Tuesday, and he was denied bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court again Wednesday morning.
Officials say they searched Eagleson's house on Turnberry Circle and took several items in connection with the ongoing investigation.
Additional charges may be pending.
